| Abstract: | Haematoxylum sousanum Cruz Duran & J. Jimenez Ramirez, a new species (Leguminosae, Caesalpinioideae) from the high Balsas basin from Southern Mexico, is described and illustrated. It appears similar to H. brasiletto H. Karsten, but differs in presenting paripinnate or bi-imparipinnate leaves, flowers in panicles, floral parts different in form, falcate fruits, and distinct phenology. |
