| Abstract: | Magnolia guerrerensis from the cloud forest in the state of Guerrero, Mexico, is illustrated and proposed as a new species. This taxon is similar to M. schiedeana Schltdl., but differs from it because of its smaller stipules, pedicellated flowers and gynoecium with less carpels. A key to distinguish both species is included. |
