Abstract:
New specimens of the bat Microtiycteris schmidtorum (Chiroptera: Phyllostomidae) from Quintana Roo and Campeche, both representing also new state records, confirmed the northernmost distributional range of this species in Mexico. Based on those new specimens and the literature, we discuss taxonomic implications of the taxon in Middle America.
