Monogéneos de peces XIII. Una especie nueva del género Probursata (Heteraxinidae) del Pacífico mexicano

Abstract

A new speciesofthe genusProbursata Bravo, 1984 (Monogenea: Heteraxinidae) is described, comparing it with the two previously known: P. veraecrucis Bravo, 1984, collected in the Gulf of Mexico and P. brasiliensis Takeoto, Amato and Luque, 1993 from the Atlantic coast of Brazil. The new species has exclusive characteristics: the arrangement of the spines of the genital atrium, restricted to the anterior edge of this structure, and the division of the seminal receptaculum in five to eightcameras; likewise, exist differences in geographical distribution and the host that validate its identity. Finally an identification key is presented for the genus of the subfamily Heteraxinidae Unnithan, 1957 including the genus Probursata.

Se describe una especie nueva del género Probursata Bravo, 1984 (Monogenea: Heteraxinidae), comparándola con las dos especies descritas previamente para el género:P. veraecrucis Bravo, 1984, colectada en el Golfo de México y P. brasiliensis Takeoto, Amato y Luque, 1993, de la costa Atlántica de Brasil. De ambas, la nueva especie se distingue por la disposición dc los ganchos del atrio genital, que se restringen al borde anterior de esta estructura, siendo además de menor tamaño, y por presentar el receptáculo seminal compuesto por entre cinco y ocho cámaras internas; en adición, exhibe diferencias a nivel de hospedero y distribución geográfica, que validan su identidad. Finalmente, se presenta una clave para los géneros de la subfamilia Heteraxininae Unnithan, 1957, incluyendo al género Probursata.
