The distritution of the Loliginidae family members that inhabit mexican waters of the Gulf of Mexico is prescented, in base of samples of 15 oceanographic cruises. A seasonal batimetrie distribution, similar to that for another latitudes, is detected for the three species studied (Loligo pealei, Loligo plei and Lolliguncula brevis). The effect of two oceanographie parameters in the distribution, the day/night distribution and the abundance and their relation with fishes and crustaecans at the zone are also analyzed.
