dc.description.abstract |
The correlation between pressure and the critical temperature of high-T-c superconductors is studied. The specific case of the Hg cuprates is considered in detail. In a simple model in which overlapping of bands increases the electronic density of states, a direct description of the increase and saturation of T-c with pressure is obtained. Low values of the isotope coefficient are taken into account and can be partially explained in this framework. |
