An (Y1-zCaz)Ba-2(Cu1-xFex)(4)O-delta with z = 0.1 and x = 0.0125 compound was synthesized and characterized through resistance vs. temperature measurements, X-ray diffraction, Mossbauer spectroscopy and Rietveld refinement of the X-ray spectra. The results of the analysis show that Calcium is distributed 80% in Y sites while the remainder 20% in Ba sites
on the other hand, the Fe atoms entirety substitute copper in the Cu(1) sites.
