dc.description.abstract	A general screening for secondary metabolites was carried out with the methanolic extract from the leaves and stems of Amaranthus indica Mill (Amaranthaceae). Three ecdysteroids: amasterol. ecdysterone, pterosterone, one sesquiterpene lactone, iresin, and an isoflavone, tlatlancuayin were isolated.	en_US
