Abstract:
The fatty acid composition and the triglycerides from the seed oil of Annona diversifolia Safford, A. purpurea Moc. et Sesse ex Dunal and A. lutescens Safford were determined. Also a chromatographic analysis of the seed flavonoids was carried out. The fatty acid and triglyceride profiles showed a closer relationship between A. purpurea and A. lutenscens than between these two species and A. diversifolia. The number of spots and their distribution in the flavonoid chromatograms showed a similar relationship. The chromatographic analysis of the seed flavonoids shows similar relationships among the species with respect to the number of components and their distribution.
