| dc.description.abstract |
The sugar content of the galactomannan, an endosperm reserve carbohydrate, in the mature seeds of Turbina corymbosa (L.) Raf. and Ipomoea murucoides Roem & Schult, was determined. The galactosemanose ratio found was 1:7.2 for T. corymbosa and 1:1.19 for I. murucoides. This sugar ratio of the polysaccharide might be a generic characteristic of the Convolvulaceae family. |
